I’ve kicked off this daunting 10,000 km cycle-for-journals challenge, and it’s been an intense initiation. The spring headwinds have been fierce, challenging me from every angle. Like all recent challenges, I’ve managed to find my rhythm and align it with the task at hand.

🙏 I really want to express my gratitude to everyone who has so generously supported me and the patients that need our help today.

Why This Matters:

📈 Empower the Patient: Increase Survival. Therefore The More ‘Empowered Patients’, The Higher The Survival Rates!

Newly diagnosed patients do not know what they do not know, yet absolutely must if they are to increase their chances of survival. The Patient Journals come with a matching suite of digital toolkits to solve this problem.

These navigational journals aren’t just smart tools; they’re crafted by survivors who bring together the wisdom of lived experience and the rigor of evidence-based medical practice. It’s a patient-led initiative sharing successful strategies to increase survival today, while science works on tomorrow’s cure. Each journal includes access to the Cancer Toolkit Series. (digital all-screen apps)

realityCHECK – Healthy People Get Cancer Too:

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦  We are all healthy until we are suddenly not. A cancer diagnosis is almost always unexpected, and when it comes it doesn’t knock on your front door—it crashes straight through it delivering relentless chaos and overwhelm—destroying families, friendships, and more; its devastation is without limits until you regain control.

Take a look at what your support is doing today ~

Patient Journal Story:

This week, one of the journals went to Gracie. She’s 32, a proud mother of two, and a caretaker of her terminally ill mother. Gracie was recently diagnosed with aggressive terminal cancer, facing a prognosis that suggests she may die before her mother. At 32, ‘unfair’ doesn’t begin to cover it. The journal you’ve supported has been sent to Gracie. She’s incredibly grateful and now has a tangible resource to guide her, but more so, it’s given her the means to accept and plan for her fight ahead. With this journal, Gracie has taken a critical step towards becoming an empowered patient, vastly improving her odds beyond the dire statistic of less than 8% survival.

Sadly, Gracie wasn’t the only one in her age group to reach out – there were three others. It’s a tough reality that Claire and I face, and while many have urged us to move on, we can’t turn away when we have the knowledge and experience that could save lives.

🎉 And just this week, another victory for an entire family – WOW, WOW, WOW is all I can say. Alysha’s mum received the very first journal, which helped her an her family make some incredibly tough and scary decisions, and without getting into the details, she is cancer-free: “It’s amazing; we are blown away!!… I am so, so very glad I found you guys; I honestly think your guidance has led to this; I am so relieved…. Thanks, Steve, but would have been clueless without you guys…. We saw Mum today; she left ICU yesterday. She managed a couple of walks.”

The impact of your support.

The Patient Journals come with a matching digital toolkit navigation suite: This is a patient-led and funded initiative – that’s what your support is backing.
